A rocket strike from Lebanon killed 12 people, including children, in the Druze town of Majdal Shams in the Israel-occupied Golan Heights. These people are innocent, as Israeli citizenship was forced on them, and it is a real tragedy. It is not clear who fired the rocket, as Hezbollah denied that it was behind this shooting. Hezbollah always takes responsibility for its actions. This tragedy can be the event the Zionist leadership has been waiting for to have a full-blown war with Lebanon.
“The massacre on Shabbat constitutes the crossing of all red lines by Hezbollah,” the Foreign Ministry of the Zionist state responsible for murdering 1600 children in Gaza said on Sunday.”This is not an army fighting another army. Instead, it is a terrorist organization that deliberately fires at civilians. Israel will exercise its right and duty to act in self-defense and respond to the massacre.”[i]
The Israeli military says it carried out a series of strikes across Lebanon after blaming Hezbollah for Saturday’s deadly attack in the occupied Golan Heights. [ii]
“Iran warned Israel on Sunday against any “new adventure” in Lebanon in retaliation for the tragedy in Majdal Shams, in a statement issued by foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani. Israeli authorities blamed Iran-backed Lebanese group Hezbollah for a rocket attack that hit a football ground in the Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, killing 12 people on Saturday, and vowed to inflict a heavy response. Hezbollah denied any responsibility for the strike” [iii]
Kanaani pointed to the statement by #Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement & the stance by top Lebanese officials that ruled out any role in the Majdal Shams attacks. While the Zionist state tries to push the Druze in Lebanon to fight against Hezbollah, the Druze leadership in Lebanon is calming the Druze.
In the case of a total war between the Zionist apartheid state and Lebanon-Hamas, the interest of the international working class is to give revolutionary support to Lebanon without giving political support to Hezbollah.
