On the hypocrisy of Britain and France

Today, the Zionist Jerusalem Post accused the Foreign Ministers of France and Britain of hypocrisy that brings to mind the appeasement of Nazi Germany because they removed the yellow pins when they met the PM of the PA.

In fact, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy and French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné wore the yellow pins when they met with Israel’s foreign minister last Friday. However, they removed the pins before meeting with PA Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa later that same day.

This fear of offending a Zionist leader naturally calls to mind the behavior of the British and French toward the Nazis in the 1930s. Nobody can deny that the spirit of appeasement displayed by the British and French this past weekend echoes their policy of appeasement of the Nazis. The official imperialist narrative is that Britain and France wanted to avoid a world war.

The truth is that behind the appeasement of the Nazis was the fact that the real enemy of the Nazis was the working-class organizations, and that included the USSR. Behind the appeasement of the Zionists is the fear of the Arab revolution that the role of the Zionist monster is to crush it in any way it is possible, including genocides.

In addition, in the 1930s, British politicians were concerned that a war would threaten the relationship between Britain and the dominions, which included Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa. After World War I, these dominions were granted significant independence within the British Empire. Politicians were not sure of universal dominion support in the event of another world war.

British politicians were also concerned that a war could provoke anti-imperialist movements in what were the British colonies. Among the British colonies were Barbados, India, Jamaica, and Nigeria. From the perspective of the British, decolonization would be disastrous. It would lead to the loss of the colonies and their resources and raw materials. Furthermore, the British government feared that if they lost a war, they would lose their colonies in a postwar settlement.

By wearing their pins, the British and French it is implied that they respected the fact that a Zionist leader could not be expected to oppose the mass murder of the Palestinians. That they believe the lie that Netanyahu’s government is concerned with the captives and wants to save them. They’re also saying there is something inherently barbaric about the Zionists that compels them to commit genocide and to continue the war.

Down with all the imperialists!

For Palestine red and free from the river to the sea!
