Israel and the Judeo-Nazi mentality

One of the most important Jewish intellectuals was Professor Leibovitz, who coined the term Judeo-Nazis.

Michael Shasar wrote in Haaretz (May 7,2002)

“Leibovitz did not accuse all the Zionist soldiers as if they were Judeo-Nazis, as the secular and religious nationalists were quick to claim… Leibovitz, out of deep pain for what happened – and is still happening! – in the territories, and out of sincere concern for the human and moral image of Israeli society, spoke about the danger of the formation of a Judeo-Nazi mentality, which will grow stronger as we continue to rule a foreign nation… By this sharp expression, he meant statesmen who drag the IDF soldiers into terrible acts that will not be done (and each of us heard with concern, from the mouths of our children serving in the army, about ‘What’s going on there’)

He did not see the Holocaust as a disaster that was fundamentally different from the rest of the disasters that befell the people of Israel. He liked to quote the words of the famous English historian Edward Gibbon, who said that history is nothing but the chronicles of the crimes and atrocities of the human race, and from this he came to the inevitable conclusion that what the Nazis did, members of other nations are also capable of doing. Moreover, even those who are among our people.” [i]

Indeed, what the Zionist army has been doing in Gaza and in Lebanon reflects the Judeo-Nazi mentality.

“The EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, says Israel has violated international humanitarian law by killing healthcare workers in central Beirut. The Israeli military “targeted once again healthcare workers overnight in central Beirut”, said Borrell. Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad said on Thursday that 97 medical personnel have been killed and dozens of health clinics attacked since the start of Israeli air strikes on Lebanon.”[ii]

Down with the Zionist and American imperialism!

Defend the Palestinians and the Lebanese!

For Palestine, red and free from the river to the sea!
