Two senior French officials paid a diplomatic visit to Israel today, during which they made it clear to their counterparts that there would be no unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state during the international conference that France and Saudi Arabia plan to hold on June 17 at the United Nations building in New York, in favor of implementing the two-state solution.
The two senior French diplomats met, among others, with Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, Foreign Ministry Director General Eden Bar-Tal and Deputy Head of the National Security Council Gil Reich. They also held a meeting with advisors to President Isaac Herzog at the President’s Residence, during which he entered President Herzog’s room and greeted them.
The two diplomats conveyed a kind of reassuring message to Israel, according to which France has no intention of unilaterally recognizing a Palestinian state during the conference, but rather to declare its desire to recognize a Palestinian state and create the conditions for it. In this context, a French source said that the purpose of the conference is to create a political framework that focuses on the two-state solution, and that it has several stages: a call for the release of the hostages; Building a long-term political vision for a Palestinian state, calling for Israel’s regional integration, disarming Hamas, establishing a security apparatus for the day after in Gaza, strengthening the Palestinian Authority and reforming Palestinian textbooks.
We have written and are writing again that those who call for a two-state solution, one Israel for 80% of Palestine and a mini-state for 20% of Palestine, are hypocrites who are actually defending the monster of Zionism, and here comes Macron and proves it.
The imperialists are enemies no less than Israel!
For one secular democratic state for the Israeli Jews and all the Palestinians, including
the refugees!
For a worker’s government supported by the fallahin!
