If we believe Trump, the United States has in fact eliminated the missile launchers. But is this true?
According to Israel Hayom, a right-wing Zionist daily newspaper that supports Trump:
“Reports coming from Iran from anti-regime elements say that the Iranians are rehabilitating underground bunkers and missile launch sites that were damaged by the US IDF and Air Force bombings, for example, according to a report by the “New York Times” based on reports from US intelligence.”
According to reports, Iran continues to possess a significant amount of missiles and mobile launchers. While the White House and the Pentagon continue to claim significant damage, the intelligence reports contradict the claim that the United States is close to destroying Iran’s missile system.
In addition, some of the launchers were buried under rocks, but Iran manages to extract them using heavy tools and use them quickly, so they return to launching again. According to a CNN report, Iran has half of the launchers it had before the war. At that time, it had at least 3,000 missiles, many hundreds of rockets and unmanned fighter jets.
After five consecutive weeks of bombings, Iran continues to maintain a continuous launch capability toward Israel, American targets such as the downing of two American fighter jets and neighboring Gulf states.
One of the reasons why there is no reliable estimate is that Iran has deployed significant numbers of dummy targets. At this stage, American intelligence does not know how many of the launchers were real and how many were “fake.” So while at the beginning of the war the United States had an official numerical estimate of the number of launchers and missiles, it does not know how many of them remained.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has defined a “significant reduction” in Iran’s launch capabilities as one of the key goals of the war. Secretary of War Pete Hesseth reiterated in his daily briefings the damage that Israel and the United States have caused to Iran, and the dwindling number of launches. The Guardian and White House officials say the number of Iranian missile and UAV launches has dropped sharply since the start of the war.
To what extent this is true can be asked of Israelis who run several times a day to bomb shelters.
It is hard not to understand that the imperialist United States and Israel suffered a defeat in the war against a semi-colonial state. There is no doubt that the United States and Israel have murdered senior officials, women and children. have caused a massive destruction of the economic infrastructure. However, these are only tactical victories, as they fail to realize their declarations about the goals of the war: the overthrow of the regime, the elimination of the missile system, the seizure of the 400 Kg of Uranium, and right-wing popular uprising. What the Zionist and US imperialism manage to do is cause chaos in the global economy and create a massive popular protest against their war.
This will have many consequences for the countries of the region, Europe, and the United States itself. Defeats of imperialism encourage resistance to the robber imperialists.
While a full-scale, organized uprising similar to the first Intifada has not yet formally materialized, the situation is at a “boiling point,” with escalating violence, increasing settler-Palestinian clashes, and the erosion of control by the Palestinian Authority (PA). The defeat of the US and the Zionist monster is likely to add temperatures to the boiling point, and addition of quantity is likely to change to a new quality-Intifada.
