Altalena as election trick

Yossi Schwartz ISL (RCIT section in Israel/Occupied Palestine) 26.08.2026

Beyond knowing the real history of this country, occupied Palestine, we have no interest in the quarrels between the Zionist right and the so-called Zionist left. The Altalena, after decades of searching, was found in the Mediterranean Sea at a depth of 600 meters, and Netanyahu’s government is using this ship, which was sunk by Ben-Gurion’s order 78 years ago, as part of its election propaganda

“We found the Altalena,” the violent thug Ben-Gvir, the minister of national security, boasted in a tweet on Network X, as if he were an active part of the search team.

Instead of a real review of the event 78 years ago, the Zionist media broadcast crude propaganda.

In the news, the more liberal Zionist website 12 Adi Zarifi, Ofer Haddad and others broadcast the message that once Jews killed Jews and today, we are no longer there. Today there are only disputes and arguments. Disagreements. That there is one army and one state, even though the Zionist state has undergone privatization and is dismantled, and the Zionist army is more violent than it was before October 7.

In most of the editions, Menachem Begin was portrayed as a great and wonderful leader who prevented a civil war, while the same Begin and his men were responsible for the incident in which 3 soldiers of the Zionist army and 16 Irgun activists were killed. On the i24NEWS channel, Begin was portrayed as a hero against David Ben-Gurion, “who gave the order to shoot a Jewish ship,” and Yitzhak Rabin, who threw grenades at the ship as part of his military duty. It was understandable from the broadcasts that the Zionist left happily went out to eliminate Holocaust survivors.

Of course, none of the panelists referred to the Arab pogroms that the Irgun and the Zionist army carried out in 1948.

Channel 12 News showed a clear preference for Netanyahu. Yair Sharki recounted how Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit criticized Netanyahu harshly and brazenly

On Channel 13,  Eyal Berkowitz claimed that they were conducting an election campaign with Altalena and wondered how they miraculously found the ship today.

There was not a single member of the panel who spoke about Ben-Gvir turning the police into his own armed militia in the spirit of Kahane, while Netanyahu turned the Shin Bet into his own private force that refuses to protect the lives of politicians like Eizenkot, who lives under death threats.

What is more cynical than two discord-mongers and criminals like Netanyahu and Ben-Gvir, who are pushing for an intifada and civil war?

Even Oded Ben-Ami did not criticize him when he broadcast the photo of the prime minister’s security guards evacuating with their weapons drawn and bathing in swimsuits on a beach in Tel Aviv. Instead of pointing to the escalating signs of tyranny. Of course, there was no hypothesis that the disturbed panic show might have been intended to give the impression that Netanyahu was being persecuted and threatened because of the Shin Bet’s failure to secure Gadi Eisenkot. Netanyahu’s followers in the media designed the Altalena event to suit their political needs. “Historical evidence of the moral low that the left is capable of reaching,”  Minister Shlomo Karei tweeted in the context of the ship’s presence, “just as they sank the Altalena, so they will drown our Jewish values and identity, and just as they harmed the passengers of the Altalena, so they will abandon the security of all of us, if, God forbid, they take hold of the ship’s helm.”

Channel 14, opened with the celebration of Altalena. Shimon Riklin gave his viewers to understand that the Zionist right is being persecuted. “Nothing has changed in the last 78 years,” Riklin said of imagined persecution. The incitement that led to Altalana is still here,” he continued, adding how the opposition is boycotting Netanyahu and not wanting to sit with him. “And I see the leftist side as more violent and aggressive,” claimed Shosh Raban. Another panelist said that it is difficult for the right to mobilize weapons and that the left is “more organized.”

From a Zionist point of view, Ben-Gurion was right, but we, who oppose all the Zionist streams as all of them are complicit in genocide, do not shed a tear for those who were killed in the battle for Altalena.

The Zionist Left reminds us that the Nazi Party had a left-wing that was characterized by figures such as Gregor Strasser and Otto Strasser, his brother.

Gregor Strasser wrote the following in his text “Thoughts on Future Missions”:

We must learn that in the economy of a people it is not profit, not profit, that is important – but only the satisfaction of the needs of the members of these people! We must learn that the ideas of “world trade”, “balance of trade”, “excess exports” are ideas of a deteriorating period, which in the end have been reduced to an absurdity, because they violate the eternal law of organic life and were born out of speculation, not out of necessity, not out of the earth! We must learn that it is a betrayal when a speculative creature, with all its means of advertising and advertising, creates an artificial need, a betrayal of human labor, of human life.”

Strasser also wrote the following in his text “The Slave Market of Capitalism”

“Long live freedom! Long live Germany! Long live the achievements of the revolution! Do you know those shouts, German workers?”

A descent into the slavery of capitalism! Down to Bloodsucking International Finances! Down with their leaders, spokesmen, and assistants: a national venomous Judaism

Otto Strasser saw the capitalists as the first and most important enemy of the Nazi Party. Similarly, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, who was the Nazi Party’s propaganda minister, once wrote the following in his book Capitalism, which was first published on July 15, 1929.

The socialist worldview begins with the volks and then goes on to the words. Things are subordinate to the volks; the Socialist puts the volks above all, and things are only a means to an end.”

The Strasser brothers founded the S.A., and when Hitler came to power, he killed them.

Thus, the Zionist left is part of the settler colonizers, and their socialist imperialism makes them above all national Zionists.
