Hamas’s proposal can further expose the nature of the Zionist state

Representatives of the Palestinian resistance organizations met in Beirut and drafted a document in which the demand to give up the weapons was defined as a “red line” .

According to a report by “Israel Today” senior figures in the Palestinian fighting organizations recently informed Egyptian and Qatari mediators that any discussion of the idea of demilitarization in Gaza has been rejected out of hand, especially as long as there is no ceasefire in Gaza and the Israeli army has not fully withdrawn.

The political leadership of 13 Palestinian fighting organizations, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), drafted a document on the subject. According to the document, the weapons of the resistance constitute a “red line”.

According to a report in the newspaper Rai al-Youm, this is also what led to statements by senior Hamas official Khalil al-Haya when he described the weapons issue in this way. Other senior Hamas figures publicly opposed the demand. It was also reported that the organization’s statement was not only conveyed to the Egyptian and Qatari mediators, but also to officials in Turkey and the United States.

After the meeting of the representatives of the organizations in Beirut, it was agreed to give the mediators an official and categorical announcement that the organizations would not compromise on their weapons, but that they could begin discussing the issue if and when Israel fully withdraws from the Gaza Strip, a comprehensive ceasefire is implemented, and a discussion on the establishment of a Palestinian state begins. In such a case, the organizations are willing to discuss the integration of the military wings into the institutions of the Palestinian state.

Clearly this will not happen as the Zionists do not intend to have even a mini Palestinian state in the nature of Bantustan. Even if the Zionist will say that they agree to such a compromise, it is a bad compromise for the Palestinians as it is a form of capitulation and giving up the right of return. It is enough to remember the many treaties the Indians signed with the U.S government that have been broken by the U.S government to know what will be the result of such an agreement. This is the betrayal road of the Palestinian Authority; the only advantage to such an offer is to expose the nature of the Zionist state and society of settler colonialists. Israel has to be destroyed and replaced by Palestine red and free from the river to the sea. This will be achieved by the Arab revolution led by a working-class revolutionary party.

For the Arab revolution!

For Palestine red and free from the river to the sea!
