The Zionist propaganda is that the Israeli captives were murdered, but who murdered them? Hamas that wants to keep them alive for exchange of prisoners or Israel? We know that on October 7th Israeli tanks and a helicopter killed Palestinians and Israelis, and Palestinians and Israelis were killed by shooting into the tunnels; now we learn of the mass killing by poisonous gas used by the Zionist air force.
The Zionist army that wanted to hit senior Hamas officials who were in the tunnels in Gaza used massive shelling from the air of residential districts in a wide radius due to the difficulty in obtaining intelligence regarding the exact location of the target in the tunnel. The method included the “erasing of entire residential neighborhoods”, sometimes subject to permission to kill “three-digit numbers” of “uninvolved” Palestinian civilians at a time. Dangerous attacks were carried out that also killed Israeli prisoners. This is according to the “Local Conversation” investigation, based on conversations with 15 officers in the IDF and the Shin Bet who engaged in counterattacks in the tunnels.
“Reserve Brigadier General Guy Chazot recounted in an interview with ” Local conversation ” the moment when the army accidentally discovered, during the bombing of a tunnel in the Gaza Envelope in 2017, that it is possible to kill enemy fighters in tunnels without hitting them directly and without knowing exactly where they are, using a deadly gas that is released as a byproduct of bombs penetrating bunkers” [i]
The fact that Hamas members, as well as Israeli hostages, died of suffocation from gas in the tunnels during the war is well known. At least three Israeli hostages died this way, as well as an unknown number of Palestinians, among them senior Hamas officials. However, this is a method of killing that was tried for the first time in the army in Operation Wall Guard in 2021 and also in the current war in Gaza.
“International law has prohibited the use of asphyxiating, poisonous, or other gases in armed conflict since 1899, with the adoption of The Hague Declaration concerning asphyxiating gases. The Treaty of Versailles, adopted at the end of the First World War, also contained a similar prohibition, as did the Geneva Protocol of 1925, which extended the ban to include bacteriological agents. The ban on the use of asphyxiating, poisonous or other gases in warfare is also reflected in the 1993 Chemical Weapons Convention (which prohibits all weapons that injure through the use of the asphyxiating, toxic, irritant, paralyzing, growth-regulating, anti-lubricating or catalytic properties of a chemical, whether in its solid, liquid or gaseous state)” [ii]
Unsurprisingly, the spokesperson for the Zionist murderers in uniforms denied these facts in the past and continues to deny them today. It was PM Shamir who said that for the good of the Israeli state, it is permissible to lie.
It is not a surprise to learn that the USA and Israel left the UN Human right council nor that Trump ordered to put sanctions on the International Court in Hague or that he is hinting that he will support the annexation of the West Bank.
“Donald Trump’s comments about the United States taking over the Gaza Strip and displacing the Palestinians who live there are understandably generating a lot of attention and concern.
However, those weren’t the only notable comments that the President made after his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In response to a reporter’s question about a potential Israeli annexation of the West Bank, Trump said that he would be deciding on the issue soon” [iii]
“The proposal, which was developed by Trump’s son-in-law and political adviser Jared Kushner, was viewed as untenable for the Palestinians. It would have redrawn Israel’s borders to include illegal settlements, required Palestine to demilitarize, denied Palestinian refugees the Right to Return, and shut down all legal action against Israel at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
It also would have annexed the West Bank, a move that has gathered more political support since the plan was revealed.
In the fall of last year, Israel’s far-right finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, announced that 2025 “will be the year of Israeli annexation of the West Bank.” In the U.S., right-wing lawmakers have also embraced the idea.”
“As delusional as Trump’s Gaza proposal undoubtedly is, the open endorsement of wholesale ethnic cleansing will, as with other US-Israeli policies, eventually migrate to the West Bank as well,” Jadaliyya co-editor and Middle East analyst Mouin Rabbani told Mondoweiss. “Worth recalling that Trump’s 2020 initiative, From Peace to Prosperity, called upon Israel to annex upwards of 1/3 of the West Bank unilaterally.” [iv]
