On the BBC’s hypocrisy

While the Zionist army is engaged in genocide, the BBC apologizes for broadcasting messages about the murderers, claiming that it is anti-Semitism.

The Glastonbury Music Festival, which featured artists who spoke out against soldiers of an army committing war crimes, prompted the network to issue a public apology: “We will re-examine our guidelines regarding live events.”

This past weekend, cultural and news sites around the world were abuzz after a performance by the British punk band Bob Vylan, during which chants of “Death to the IDF” were heard.

The performances were broadcast live on the BBC, where they decided not to interrupt it, but on Monday, the British network issued an official apology and announced that it would look into other conduct in similar cases in the future.

“Millions of people watched and listened to the Glastonbury Festival over the weekend as part of the broadcasts of the Glastonbury Festival. The BBC respects freedom of expression, but strongly opposes incitement to violence. The anti-Semitic views expressed by Bob Willan were completely unacceptable and have no place in our broadcast.”

This is a hypocrisy that is typical of the imperialist media that supports the genocide and condemns those who condemn this crime. Let us remember that the BBC did not explicitly support the USA during the Vietnam War. While the UK did not officially participate in the war, the BBC’s coverage of the conflict was not a straightforward endorsement of the US position; however, between the lines, it did support the USA’s involvement in the war.

Down with the imperialists and their servants!
