On the new land theft

The Zionist Cabinet announced this morning (Thursday) that it had approved the proposal to establish 22 additional settlements in the West Bank, another war crime.

According to the announcement, about half of the localities are new and not just the regularization of existing ones. This means extensive land grabs, the interruption of Arab contiguities in the area, and huge reserves for construction in the settlements. As mentioned, about half of the localities currently have no Jewish presence at all, and this will be renewed in the framework of the decisions.

Two of the localities approved today are Homesh and Shanur, and the State of Israel is effectively canceling the disengagement from the northern West Bank.

Minister Bezalel Smotrich promoted the decision. Since the beginning of his term, Smotrich has worked to approve 50 new settlements (out of the 128 settlements recognized to 178) with the aim of increasing settlement and preventing Palestinian territorial contiguity that would enable the establishment of a mini-Palestinian state in the future.

According to the decision, four settlements will be established in the Jordanian border area with the aim of strengthening the eastern avenue of the Zionist state, two settlements that will strengthen the area of Route 443 on the way to Jerusalem, and three strategic ones in the Hebron Hills area. In addition, a settlement will be established on Mount Ebal near the city of Nablus.

This decision ends the iregularization of settlements. All the localities that fall under the definition of young settlement can now complete statutory procedures for regularization. From a political standpoint, there is no longer an impediment to completing their regularization, but only professional procedures remain.

“Young Settlement” is a cover name used to obscure the settler movement’s construction of illegal outposts, even according to Israeli law. These masters of the land grabbing understand, without a doubt, that there is no problem in breaking the law. For weeks now, the Hilltop Youth have been raging without restraint as a prelude to the new plan.

Those who call for a two-state solution are either liars, disconnected from reality, or pro Zionists. The only solution is one secular democratic state for the Israeli Jews and all the Palestinians, including the refugees, governed by a workers’ government supported by the Fallahin.

Israel out of Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria!

For the Constituent Assembly, including the Palestinian refugees!

For one secular democratic state that will include the Palestinian refugees and be governed by a workers’ government supported by the Fallahin!
