According to Jerusalem Post Palestinian activists have called for a protest in Ramallah on Thursday against US President Joe Biden’s visit to Ramallah and meeting in Bethlehem with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. “The protest express rejection of Biden’s humiliating policies toward the Palestinian issue” and Washington’s “blatant bias” in favor of Israel. The poster is calling for the protest denounces the US as the “head of the snake” and said, “America does not liberate people but only enslaves them” [i]
The protest reflects the white wash of the cold blood murder of the Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and the broken promises like the promise to open a U.S consulate in 1967 occupied East Jerusalem, and to remove the PLO from the Foreign Terrorist Organizations list.
Biden, Blinken and other complicated did what America’s diplomats have always done when Israel evicts, jails, tortures, shoots and bombs Palestinians in occupied Palestine again and again – protect and defend an apartheid state. But not only Palestinians, as a matter-of-fact Israel bombed the American ship “Liberty” in 1967 to prevent the crew from seeing the Zionist army killing in cold blood Egyptian POWs in Sinai. The U.S government ignored that attack on its own navy.
“Israeli soldiers killed hundreds of Egyptian prisoners of war during the 1967 Mideast war _ deaths that commanders who are now prominent leaders have known about for years, historians said. The mass killing involves some of Israel’s top politicians, including Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and right-wing legislator Rafael Eitan, a former army chief.”
“Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid has said his office would investigate reports of a mass grave in central Israel containing the bodies of Egyptian commandos who were killed during the 1967 Middle East war” [ii]
There are a few reasons for Biden’s visit to the Middle East. The first one is in the coming mid-election in time the inflation in the USA is very high. Partially because of the sanctions on Russia and he also wants Saudi Arabia to produce much more oil to lower the price of gasoline in the USA in order to get more votes. The second reason is to build a military alliance between Israel, USA, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and other monarchies against Iran and its allies. The third reason is to build an alliance against Russia and maybe China. The fourth reason is to convince the Palestinian Authority to stop the pressure resulting from the murder of Shireen Abu Akleh.
For the same reason Gantz, the Zionist minister of war, met with the renegade and so called President Abbas in Ramallah Ahead of Biden Visit. “The meeting focused on preparations for Biden’s Middle Eastern tour next week, as well as moves to relax some Israeli restrictions on the West Bank and the probe into Shireen Abu Akleh’s death, sources say” [iii]
The chances of Biden to win the goals of his visit are very poor. Jordan for example, that at first supported the visit, is no more supporting the visit. The chances of convincing Saudi Arabia to produce much more oil are very slim. Even in Israel the camp of Netanyahu does not welcome Biden’s visit.
