While the Zionist apartheid state is committing genocide against the people of Gaza and has murdered more than 36,000 people, most of them women and children. At the same time, the incredible pro-Palestinians are calling for a free Palestine from the river to the sea. While the movement to boycott Israel is growing, and the students continue to struggle despite the attack on them. At the time, dockers in many countries blocked the weapons to Israel. The US, that provided the Zionists with the bombs that murdered the Palestinians is doing now its best to save Israel from its destruction through the expected revolutionary uprising of the Arab workers and poor peasants by calling for a Palestinian state that will be no more than Bantustan on 27% of Palestine under the government of the PA servants of Israel and the US. Some European imperialists are joining the efforts of the US to save Israel.
In 1947, the UN came up with the partition plan. This plan supposedly recognized an Israeli state and an Arab Palestinian state. However, it gave the Zionists, who were around one-third of the population, were to occupy 55% of Palestine, and in the part allocated to the Zionists lived almost the same number of Palestinians. This plan was a recipe for a war and for the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians. Stalinist Czechoslovakia provided the weapons for the Nakba, while the Stalinists in Palestine called the Palestinian resistance criminal gangs.
The heroic struggle of the Palestinians during the first Intifada was suffocated by the Oslo agreement that supposedly had to lead to an independent Palestinian state. Still, in reality, it was a cover for more Zionist settlements in the West-Bank. And guess who supported the nonsense of a mini-Palestinian state? And the Oslo agreement? The Stalinists and their allies.
Today to form even a mini-Palestinian state, half a million Zionists have to be removed from the West Bank, and who will do it, the US? The Israeli government? A pie in the sky. Nevertheless, once again, the Stalinists are betraying the Palestinians.
“Hadash-Ta’al MK Aida Touma-Sliman hosted on Tuesday a conference in Israel’s Knesset titled “Recognizing the State of Palestine: Why Now?” in which members of her party and the second Israeli-Arab party, Ra’am, called on Israeli leadership to recognize the sovereign State of Palestine.
All of Hadash-Ta’al’s MKs participated in the conference, as did MK Iman Hatib-Yassin from Ra’am. Other participants included Hadash secretary-general Amjad Shavita, former Hadash MK Dov Hanin, and other Jewish and Arab peace activists and diplomats”.[i]
This betrayal should not surprise us. In Syria, the Stalinists supported Assad, the butcher. In Egypt, they supported the military coup. In Iran, they supported the Ayatollahs!
