The Hypocrisy of the imperialist politicians and mass media

Yossi Schwartz ISL (RCIT section in Israel/Occupied Palestine), 21.02.2025

The return of four dead bodies including a mother and two young children from Gaza to Israel gave the imperialists an opportunity to present Hamas as barbarians. This in spite of the fact that the three were killed by the Israeli air force bombing Gaza. The children of course are innocent but Israel has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians many of them children and mother to young children.

“The American “Wall Street Journal” tells how Jordan Bibbs, of Yemeni descent, used to joke that his children were “the first red-headed Yemenis”. The newspaper excitedly described how Israelis covered the streets of Tel Aviv with posters and graffiti of the children’s characters, and carried orange balloons on their birthdays.

The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, tweeted the other day (Tuesday): “My songs. Kafir. Ariel. The face of innocence and love. The face of eternal humanity that the barbarism of Hamas will never erase.”

The French newspaper “Le Parisien” reported on plans to place tens of thousands of billboards with pictures of the Biebs family in major cities with the words “unjustifiable” and “indescribable” above them.

The Australian media presented particularly emotional coverage. Especially prominent is Chris Kenny, Sky News broadcaster, who had difficulty holding back his tears live yesterday (Wed), saying:

If you need more proof of the atrocities and malice of Hamas, it comes in this message.” His voice broke as he announced the repatriation of the bodies of Shiri Biebs and her young children.” [i]

“The Free Press” wrote: “In the famous photo of the baby Kfir, he is holding a small pink elephant. Kfir’s relatives searched for months in the ruins of Nir Oz for the elephant, which was finally found in January. His aunt hoped it would be a ‘good sign’.”

“In an article by Seth Mendel, editor of the conservative magazine “Commentary”, it is written: “Kfir has become a symbol because it represents the fault line in the entire conflict. in a more just world.

The newspaper harshly criticized the Hollywood stars who chose to wear a red pin at the last Oscar ceremony in support of “Palestine”, instead of expressing empathy for the kidnapped children” [ii]

What they hide is the systematic oppression of the Palestinians in Gaza that includes the killing of many young children and the oppression of the Palestinians in the West bank, the fact that the Zionist air force killed the Bibas family.

Down with the imperialists!

For Palestine, red and free from the river to the sea!
