The news from Syria

Yossi Schwartz ISL (RCIT section in Israel/Occupied Palestine), 05.12.2024

The ISL, including as part of the RCIT, takes the side of the revolution, and we support the rebels in the war without, however, giving them political support.

Fierce battles are taking place today (Thursday) in the city of Hama in Syria as Assad’s army tries to repel an attack by the rebel organizations. According to reports in the Arab media, the Syrian army managed to regain control of some of the neighborhoods where the rebels had infiltrated. However, the exchange of fire in the strategic area of Mount Zein al-Abedin to the north of the city continues.

In a conversation with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani, Assad asked for direct support from Iraq to prevent more cities in Syria from falling into the hands of the Syrian opposition. The pro-Iranian channel “Al-Mayadeen” reported on battles taking place about four kilometers northwest of Hama while reinforcements of the Assad army were arriving in the area to stop the attack. The rebels, for their part, attack neighborhoods in the city of Hama using drones and mortar bombs. The rebels took control of the prison in the city of Hama.

Victory for the rebels!

Long live the Arab revolution of the entire Middle East!
