The hypocrisy of the Biden administration – claiming it is seeking de-escalation but in reality driving the war in the Middle East.
While the Biden administration calls for a regional ceasefire, it continues to provide political and military support for the Zionist mass war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon. Biden has supplied Israel with billions of dollars for bombs and weapons. Why is Biden saying one thing and acting the opposite?
In February, Biden declared that a ceasefire in Gaza was so “close” that it might materialize within days. Today, almost eight months later, Israel continues with the genocide in Gaza, bombing all over Lebanon and sending possibly 200,000 soldiers in an attempt to occupy it. Biden has welcomed nearly every escalator step Israel has taken this year: the killing of Hamas leaders in Beirut and Tehran and the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.
With its continuing military and diplomatic support for Israel, the US remains a driver of the war, while its empty statements are for the American public that oppose the unconditional support for Israel.
US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin endorsed an Israeli ground campaign in south Lebanon, which risks becoming a full-scale invasion of the country. The real reason for the USA’s drive for a regional war is to get in Lebanon a president that serves American imperialism and destroys Iran as a regional power.
Not only should Israel be defeated, but US imperialism should be driven out of the region, which is possible, as happened in Afghanistan.
Defeat Israel!
US out of the region!
Military victory for Hezbollah and Hamas!
