This is the time for Israel and the United States, who have failed in the war, to applaud loudly for their imaginary victory over Iran. First, they told us that the ceasefire had been achieved in light of Iran’s pleas, amid fears of Trump’s threats. Second, they will paint the destruction and the killing as tremendous achievements. And in Israel, they will claim that Trump is preventing Israel from defeating Hezbollah and disarming it.
This is how we find today in Yedioth Ahronoth, a conservative right-wing newspaper that is considered “leftist” in the eyes of the Zionist right (a word of insult by most Israelis).
“Trump can credit himself with immediate achievements as a result of the ceasefire with Iran, while Israel is left facing risks and strong frustrations, among other things, vis-à-vis Hezbollah – if indeed the war stops.
“Trump has conditioned his agreement to a two-week ceasefire on “the Strait of Hormuz being opened immediately.” In order for the Strait of Hormuz to be opened for free navigation, the Iranians must officially announce this and also specify whether they intend to set conditions for vessels passing through the strait, before the marine insurance companies agree to insure the huge tankers loaded with oil and the container ships that have been waiting on both sides of the strait, some of which have been waiting for more than a month.
The Israeli intelligence community expected that there would be launches if a ceasefire was achieved. Simply because this is the way of the Iranians, and in fact all the partners in the “Shiite axis of resistance,” to prove to their domestic constituents that they have not surrendered and have remained on their feet, and are even fighting a hairy war that the enemy (i.e., the Americans and us) is absorbing and restraining ourselves. In addition to this violent defiance, Iran’s National Security Council leaked to news agencies the 10-point plan it submitted to the United States, which Trump said was a good basis for negotiations.”
An examination of the details of the plan shows that Iran has not withdrawn from any of the demands it has made to the Americans in recent weeks. It is possible that the Iranians will soften the plan over the next two weeks, but so far there is no apparent reason for the optimism of the American president, who has been looking for a way to get a face saving gesture. The Pakistani intermediaries gave him what he needs – an escape road.
It should also be noted that Trump is forcing Israel to pay a price for the ceasefire, which freed him from the obligation to keep his words and “open the gates of hell” on Iran. Israel is forced to stop the army in Lebanon in the midst of an offensive that is supposed to disarm Hezbollah for a long time. This comes at a time Hezbollah is very alive and firing rockets at Israel. Netanyahu, denies that Israel had committed to stop in Lebanon, and this morning it was reported that a vehicle was attacked there. However, in the real-world growing number of Israeli soldiers are killed and injured in Lebanon, while the residents in North Israel are running away.
But if Israel is indeed confined to Lebanon for more than two weeks, it will have a problem in preparation. The suspension now, even for two weeks, is causing serious damage to Israel’s security, at a time when the Zionist army has a serious problem of combat personnel and reservists who have been serving for hundreds of days cumulatively.
Iran’s can demonstrate “victory through non-loss” by launching missiles into Israel and despite the belligerent and threatening statement issued by Tramp, it seems that it was the American imperialist that blinked first. What led senior Revolutionary Guards officials and their supporters to agree to a ceasefire was the threat to the national infrastructure and the de facto destruction of some of it by the Israeli Air Force in recent days.
Regretless the empty announcements of imperialist victory, the majority o the masses are encouraged by the victory of Iran.
Trump’s threat to completely destroy power plants, bridges, and especially the bombing of Kharg Island (Iran’s main oil export terminal) yesterday, as a hint that the Americans are preparing to take over it, demonstrated to the regime’s senior officials who are now running affairs in Tehran that the red-haired president is serious, that he is referring to the inflammatory sentences of threat he writes or says. In the Middle East, those suspected of being insane are treated with respect, and Trump is considered one of them in Tehran.
