According to information from WAFA, An Israeli court in 1967 occupied East Jerusalem has issued rulings ordering the forced eviction of hundreds of Palestinians from their homes in the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood of Silwan as part of an ongoing campaign of forced displacement targeting the area.
Under international law, East Jerusalem is considered occupied territory, and Israeli settlements are deemed illegal. The latest court rulings in Batn al-Hawa underscore the fact that Israel is ignoring International law and can do it because of the support of American imperialism.
The settler organization Ateret Cohanim secured court decisions over the past two weeks authorizing the eviction of 26 Palestinian families, totaling 154 individuals, from their homes in Batn al-Hawa. The group claims these properties were built on land allegedly owned by Jews before 1948.
The court also ordered that each case be paid 50,000 shekels (approximately $13,000) in court fees. The forced evictions in Batn al-Hawa are part of a strategy of dispossession and settlement expansion by the Zionist state in occupied East Jerusalem. Since 1967, Israel has implemented policies aimed at altering the demographics of Jerusalem to reinforce its control over the city despite (useless) international condemnation.
Silwan, a historic Palestinian neighborhood located near the Old City, has been a focal point of settler activities. Organizations like Ateret Cohanim and Elad have sought to establish Jewish settlements in the area under the pretext of historical claims, often using Israeli courts to legitimize their actions.
The same thing is happening in the West Bank. Israel’s deadly raid in Jenin has entered its third day, with its forces issuing a forced evacuation threat to residents of the refugee camp in the city. Hundreds of Palestinians in the Jenin refugee camp started leaving their homes on Thursday, by order of the criminal Zionist army.
Jews survived in Europe for many hundreds of years because they had an essential function as financial pre-capitalists. At that time, the Church forbade Christians to deal with finance. However, when non-Jews replaced them, Anti-Semitism appeared, and this led to the genocide of the Jews who lost their position. The Zionists are trying to exist by having a military role in Western imperialism instead of a financial role.
The existence of Israel depends on the massive support of Western imperialism. Still, to get this support, Israel has to show that it is a strong state that can guard the pro-American local ruling class from the Arab masses. Now that Israel has lost the war against Gaza, it wants to prove it can win against the resistance in the West Bank.
The only salvation of the Jews is socialism!
Down with the Zionist monster!
For Palestine, red and free from the river to the sea!
