As it was expected, the Zionist monster would renew the war on Gaza. According to the Palestine chronicle, Zionist forces resumed their relentless assault on the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Tuesday morning, following a two-month sort of ceasefire.
The renewed aggression has resulted in widespread devastation across Gaza. The ceasefire, mediated by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, held until tensions erupted on January 19, 2025, due to Israel’s refusal to advance to the second stage of the deal and leave Gaza.
The Zionist military has intensified its bombardment, targeting residential areas, displacement camps, and strategic locations in Gaza. According to medical sources, the death toll has now reached 232, with the majority concentrated in southern Gaza, including Rafah and Khan Younis.
As Netanyahu, who wants to continue the war planned the prosecution in his trial for corruption has canceled Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony due to renewed fighting in the Gaza strip, the prosecution announced Tuesday morning.
According to the Jerusalem Post: “The Israeli army may adopt cautious tactics in Gaza as the massive invasion loses momentum. Israel faces a critical choice in Gaza: To launch a full invasion, opt for gradual strikes, or pursue another ceasefire deal.
For the last two months, there was in abstract a choice after phase one of the hostage deal: Either Israel and Hamas would reach an agreement on the second phase of a hostage deal and end the war , or the military, under its new aggressive chief, Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir would reopen the war.”
If Zamir and the government chose to go “all-out” against Hamas, it was expected that the Zionist monster would invade all parts of Gaza rapidly, as opposed to the very gradual staged invasion that the military spread out over late 2023-mid-2024.
This would also include moving all of the Palestinian civilians to the Al-Mawasi humanitarian area such that the Zionist goons would have unprecedented freedom to unleash aerial bombing and tank and artillery shelling from the ground on all other parts of Gaza.
Al-Mawasi is a narrow strip of coastal land one kilometer wide and fourteen kilometers long. Gush Qatif settlements used to lie to its east. The area was once abundant in water, and residents primarily earned their income from agriculture and fishing. However, those activities are no longer viable as the land has been damaged.
Since the founding of the Gush Qatif settlements, the Zionist Monster restricted the movement of al-Mawasi’s residents. The severity of the restrictions has grown during the al-Aqsa intifada, effectively imprisoning the Palestinians in their community. The army changed the criteria for allowing the residents to move to and from the nearby cities, Khan Yunis and Rafah, without informing the residents. At times, the army completely prohibits movement in or out of al-Mawasi; as a result, dozens of residents of al-Mawasi find themselves stuck in Khan Yunis without food, a change of clothes, or a place to spend the night. Thus, they depended on relatives and friends for support. Moving to this small place 2 million will be a disaster and the Palestinians will be easy prey for the Zionist army.
The renewal of the war will kill not only Palestinians but also Israelis captive, by the Zionist army while blaming Hamas for this killing. Already the New York times admitted that it was the Zionist army who killed the 40 Israelis prisoners of war.
“A recent report has revealed that more than forty Israeli captives held by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in the Gaza Strip have been killed by the regime’s airstrikes since October 7, 2023.
According to an analysis by The New York Times (NYT) published on Saturday, of the 251 Israeli soldiers and settlers taken captive by Hamas in Gaza, 41 have been killed by “Israeli bombing and friendly fire.”
Citing the Israeli regime’s cabinet, the US daily added that of the 59 Israeli captives still held by Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups in Gaza, only 24 remain alive and 130 others have been released alive.
“A few [captives] were almost certainly killed in the first days of the war, before it was possible to seal a truce. But many others have died since the brief first cease-fire collapsed in November 2023 and the fighting continued in a war that has killed tens of thousands of Palestinians,” the report said.
The corpses of 40 others have been returned to Israel in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and detainees following ceasefire agreements in November 2023 and January of this year.”[i]
Down with the Zionist monster!
For Palestine, red and free from the river to the sea!
