While pro- Palestinians including our comrade Michael are persecuted, The ICJ has given a legal achievement to the Zionist monster guilty of genocide in an appeal against the International Court of Justice. The Hague will return the question of the authority to issue arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Galant for further discussion. The Prime Minister’s office said that “Israel expects the International Criminal Court in The Hague to cancel the warrants immediately”
However, The Hague Court rejected Israel’s demand to suspend the orders against Netanyahu and Galant. Israel filed two appeals to the court: the first against the very jurisdiction of the court over Israel. The second dealt with the prosecution’s obligation to notify the state of its intention to open an investigation against its citizens.
The court criticized the decision of the lower court that decided on the arrest warrants, stating that it “erred in not sufficiently addressing Israel’s claim that it is entitled to file an objection to the jurisdiction.” The panel instructed the same court to reconsider the substance of the Israeli arguments regarding the lack of jurisdiction of the court.
Israel’s request to suspend the arrest warrants issued in May 2024 by the ICC’s chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, was denied, and the arrest warrants remain in effect. According to the treaty, this ostensibly obligates the member states to arrest Gallant and Netanyahu if they reach their territory. Countries such as France, Poland and others have already announced that they will not implement them.
