Yocheved Lifshitz, an old woman, was one of the two who were released by Hamas for Humanitarian reasons. The Israeli government, expecting a fabricated horror account, organized a press conference that, according to the newspapers, was disastrous for Israel, a PR win for Hamas.
According to the Times of Israel, freed Israeli hostage Yocheved Lifshitz spoke to the press at Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv on October 24.
“At a press conference on Tuesday Lifshitz said that after initial violence her Hamas captors had shown “care” and “gentleness” – a rare description of humanity in a savage conflict that may turn even bloodier. Some Israeli commentators called her comments a public relations win for Hamas” [1]
“Criticism is pouring in after freed hostage Yocheved Lifshitz appeared to praise her Hamas captors and criticize Israel at a press conference earlier in the day. The Kan public broadcaster reports that Israeli PR experts are calling the decision to put reporting on Hamas’s kindness in taking care of the hostage’s needs. In Israel Hayom, columnist Eddie Rothstein calls the interview a “propaganda win for Hamas. What a brave and enlightened woman, the kind we thought they no longer make in Israel, and what clumsy handling of the event,” he writes. “The truth is you don’t need to be a PR expert to know you can’t have a press conference like this live on TV.
“There’s no doubt that Lifshitz’s statement could have been managed better,” tweets Channel 12 reporter Daphna Liel.” The channel’s Dana Weiss calls the press conference a “disaster,” noting the lack of state intervention in managing her appearances”
ToI’s Tal Schnieder takes aim at the hospital’s spokesperson, who put Lifshitz in front of the cameras, rather than just her family members, and then bragged about his ability to get a “wow factor” for journalists on Instagram.” [2]
These statements by Misters Rothstein, Schnieder and Madams Liel and Weiss revealed the nature and function of the Zionist mass media, to tell lies and more lies that serve the Zionist portraying Hamas as human animals to justify the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the people of Gaza.
She was released even though the air force of the Zionist apartheid state killed 720 civilians in Gaza. According to the proposed regulations of the media by the Zionist state, those who spread news that support the Palestinians (to be clear, the person himself doesn’t have to support the Palestinian cause, just the news he wrote) or hurt the national morale may be arrested.
So, the question is who are the sub human those who commit genocide and spread lies that are further circulated by the Western imperialists or the Palestinians.
For a Palestine red and free from the river to the sea!
