“The “Bloomberg” news network reported that senior officials in the United Kingdom and the United States fear that the Kremlin handed over nuclear secrets to Tehran in exchange for ballistic missiles. The issue came up during the visit of the British Prime Minister to Washington.
In the United States and the United Kingdom, there is growing concern that Russia is passing nuclear information to Iran that could help the Islamic Republic develop and perfect nuclear weapons, the American news network “Bloomberg” reported tonight (Sunday).
Western sources told the news network that the Kremlin and Tehran increased their cooperation in the nuclear field in exchange for Iran’s assistance to the Russian war effort. It was also reported that the issue came up for discussion between senior British and American officials in Washington last week during British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit.
The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, said during his visit to London that Russia may transfer nuclear technology to Iran after Russia received a shipment of Fatah-360 ballistic missiles. In April, a senior Iranian general threatened that his country might change its nuclear doctrine if Israel threatened its nuclear facilities. The International Atomic Energy Agency has warned that Iran’s stockpile of enriched nuclear fuel is sufficient for several nuclear warheads, assuming Tehran decides to develop them”.
So? The US and Britain can provide weapons to Israel for the genocide of the Palestinians, and Russia cannot provide weapons to Iran that Israel plans to attack. Israel is an imperialist settler colonialist state, while Iran is a regional power but not an imperialist. It is an oppressive regime, but in wars, not the government but the nature of the state determines the attitude of working-class revolutionaries. In a war between Israel and Iran, we are on the side of Iran without giving it political support.
