Why does the Zionist army lie about the crime of attacking Nasser Hospital?

YNET said: “In the footage that was circulated online this morning, the moment of the attack on the Elysin building, which is located inside the Nasr hospital compound, was broadcast live. Security sources explained at noon that the IDF had identified a threat from inside Nasser Hospital, and therefore it was decided to attack the building[i].”

On the other hand, Haaretz newspaper said: “In the footage that was circulated online yesterday, you can see the moment of the attack on Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, live. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip (which is controlled by Hamas) said that first, the fourth floor of the medical institution was attacked. Then, medical teams came to rescue and treat the injured from the first explosion. To see and not to believe: a war crime live.”

The question is, how did the Israeli photographer know about the planned crime and point his camera at the hospital? The hospital, the only one operating in the southern Gaza Strip, said at least 20 people were killed in the attack, including five journalists and photojournalists and four medical personnel. Many others were also reported wounded, including journalists and medical staff. The dead were journalists Hossam al-Masri, a photographer for the Reuters news agency in Gaza; Mohammed Salameh, a photographer for Al Jazeera; and Moaz Abu Taha. Among those killed were freelance journalist Mariam Abu Daqa. In announcing her death, the AP noted that Abu Daqa was often at Nasser Hospital and “documented the struggle of doctors to save children from malnutrition.” Her latest reports, it said, “focused on life-saving attempts despite the acute shortage of medical equipment and food.”

How can we explain the repeated attacks on hospitals, all the more so when the health system in the Gaza Strip is effectively shut down, and in the midst of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and hunger that the whole world is talking about? How do you explain the killing of journalists (245 since the beginning of the war)? Let the IDF rewrite.

The Zionist occupation army Spokesperson said that “Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir ordered “a preliminary investigation to be conducted as soon as possible,” adding that “the IDF regrets any harm to non-combatants, does not direct attacks on journalists as such, and is working as much as possible to minimize the harm to them while maintaining the security of our forces.” Here’s how it works: they blow up a hospital, kill journalists, and then regret it. The public relations strategy is transparent: This is not a war crime because the IDF is ‘sorry’ for what happened.”[ii] [iii]

The army’s expression of regret is of no importance when it comes to a recurring phenomenon. If this is how things look when the Zionist army acts to minimize harm to non-combatants and refrains from harming journalists, then the situation of the army is worse than ever. Either they are lying or they are covering up, or both, and not for the first time.

It is clear that the Zionist army is lying, and who can believe it? In the first version, it was said that the target was a camera on the roof of the hospital. Lying is the norm to try to cover up war crimes. It is also clear why the crocodile tears are shed, claiming that this is a mistake and the army is investigating. The apparent immediate reason is that journalists working for the world’s press have been murdered, and the mass media, even in the Western imperialist states, are condemning this crime
