Several American politicians since the outbreak of hostilities against Iran, have indeed condemned the Zionist monster responsible for genocide and widespread harm to Lebanese and Iranian civilians. For example, California Governor Gavin Newsom, one of the leading politicians in the Democratic Party, said in an interview that the United States should reconsider military aid to Israel, adding that Israel could be “described as an apartheid state.” The ADL said that using terms like “apartheid” or accusations of “genocide” are not ordinary political criticism but rhetoric that could inflame hatred and contribute to the legitimization of anti-Semitic narratives. The organization also warned against claims that accuse Israel or its supporters of illegitimate influence on American foreign policy. But how can one call Israel annexing the West Bank without civil rights for Palestinian residents not apartheid?
The League’s report points to what it calls a widespread spread of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on social media following the attacks on Iran. One prominent narrative is the claim that the United States is fighting Iran “for Israel” and at the expense of American lives. According to the ADL, this message has been spread by elements from different ideological camps, on the one hand, anti-Israel organizations and anti-war activists, and on the other, far-right activists. For example, conservative media figure Tucker Carlson revived the claim that Israel was involved in the September 11 attacks and even repeated motifs of “dual loyalty” of American Jews to Israel, while conservative media figure Candace Evans wrote that no one should enlist in the US military “unless they want to join the IDF,” and called the United States an “occupied nation”.
Anti-Israeli organizations and protest activists called for demonstrations under the slogan “Stop the war on Iran.” According to the report, more than 150 demonstrations were held in various cities in the United States within a few days.
It must be said openly and loudly: Zionist ideology and practice are robbery, terrorism, wars, and the killing of civilians, including children and infants. Occupations, annexations, and genocide. Israel’s entire existence is in its military function as the front line of Western imperialism.
And while in the United States 80% of the population opposes the imperialist war, almost all Jewish citizens of the State of Israel support it.
