Israel boycotts Nobel Peace Prize laureate Judge Nawi Pelay, but the Zionist monster will be forced to live in the shadow of the harsh reports written by the committee she heads on the occupation and the war in Gaza.
The announcement that South African judge Navi Pillai had won the Nobel Peace Prize knocked Israel’s Foreign Ministry off balance, saying: “If there was a prize for lies, hatred and blood libel, Navi Pillai would not just be a candidate. She would have been a leader in the race, adding that “now that the Nobel committee has rewarded the biggest lie of the 21st century, Joseph Goebbels must be applauding from hell.” Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also raised the dead by declaring that Menachem Begin, Henry Kissinger and Martin Luther King were turning over in their graves.
The responses show how isolated Israel is from the world, since Israel is the most hated country in the world, and there is an abyss between international law and the State of Israel. Moreover, this isolation of the Zionist monster is felt among the masses of humanity who in the past saw Israel as the only democracy in the Middle East. Pelay moved from a state visitor to Israel in 2011 to a harsh criticism of the 1967 occupation and human rights violations in the West Bank, it can be assumed that if she had begun her analysis of Israel’s actions in 1947-48, the harsh assertions about Hamas on October 7 would have been different because Hamas is fundamentally no different from the ANC. It is difficult to accuse the Nobel Peace Prize laureate of bias towards Hamas because her report on the events of October 7, 2023, accuses Hamas of war crimes and it does not distinguish between the actions of Hamas and the actions of the masses that breached the wall of the siege of Gaza and is furious at Israel, which has systematically murdered thousands of Palestinians. But the Zionist politicians who hate it live in denial that what Israel did was the most serious war crime: genocide. In any case, she has written harsh reports on war crimes committed by Israel, stating that Israel’s actions amount to genocide. Israeli citizens can also find in its reports evidence and conclusions regarding the State of Israel’s failure to protect its citizens.
Pelay was a fighter against apartheid, the first non-white judge of South Africa’s Supreme Court, the only judge on the tribunal to prosecute the perpetrators of the Rwandan genocide and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
In 2021, the UN Human Rights Council held a special session in the wake of the Guardian of the Walls events. At that meeting, the Council decided to appoint an independent commission of inquiry to the area and appoint Pelay as its chairman. Even then, Israel came out against the commission, whose mandate included not only the West Bank and East Jerusalem, but also the territories of the State of Israel, and even the right to investigate the “roots of the conflict.” Its reports have become important factors in shaping the international legal discourse surrounding Israel.
In October 2022, the UN General Assembly Committee recommended requesting an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague regarding the legality of the occupation. The recommendation was accepted, and the opinion received two years later was unequivocal: Israel violates international law and its control of the West Bank is illegal. The opinion, which was approved by the General Assembly, became a milestone in how the world’s masses view Israel.
In May 2023, the committee published a report on civil society in Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The report was very critical of both sides and dealt with both Israel’s restrictions on journalists and activists of human rights organizations, as well as the violation of freedom of expression and the restrictions imposed on civil society organizations and journalists in the PA.
Immediately after the report, which accused Hamas of war crimes, another report was submitted that dealt with the Israeli response to the attack and included harsh criticism of the bombings and the harm done to innocent people in the Gaza Strip. As the war in Gaza continued and the evidence of war crimes committed by Israel accumulated, Pelay’s reports became increasingly critical. Throughout 2024 and 2025, it published harsh reports on systematic sexual violence against Palestinian detainees and civilians and the destruction of the health system in Gaza. In September 2025, the committee published the most difficult report of all, which determined that Israel had committed genocide.
The commission found that the IDF and security forces committed four of the five acts defined as genocide under the 1948 UN Genocide Convention: killing members of the group, causing serious bodily or mental harm, deliberately subjecting the group to conditions of life that could result in their total or partial physical destruction, and creating conditions intended to prevent birth. The fifth section, which Israel was not accused of, is “forcible transfer of children from one group to another.”
“It is clear that there is an intention to exterminate the Palestinians in Gaza through actions that meet the criteria set out in the Genocide Convention. The responsibility for these atrocities lies with the highest echelons of the Israeli authorities, who have carried out a campaign of genocide for almost two years,” Pelay said after the report’s release.
All of this sounds good, but the UN is an imperialist institution, since the Security Council is the decisive body and the decisive weight rests with the imperialist states. For this reason, Israel continues to commit war crimes without being punished.
After the Arab revolution, those who ordered and committed war crimes will stand trial and will be punished.
