According to Reuters news agency report on Friday evening a new Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, which includes a timetable for the release of the hostages and time table for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
New details reveal that the Egyptian proposal is structured in stages, with the first stage is the immediate release of five hostages alive and several bodies of Zionist soldiers, in exchange for a ceasefire and an Israeli withdrawal from the places to which it has reoccupied in recent days, including the Netzarim route.
In the next stage, the Egyptians are proposing a gradual outline for the release of additional hostages in exchange for intensive negotiations to end the war, continued Israeli withdrawals until a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the return of humanitarian aid. In the final stage, the parties will move to the Witkoff plan – the release of all the hostages who remain on the last day. Al Sisi denies that Egypt is ready to accept Gazan refugees to be settled in Sinai.
Al Sisi acts as a servant of the imperialists rather than give real support to the Palestinians and cut all relations with the Zionist Monster. The problem with this plan is that it relies on the presumption that Netanyahu and Trump, both known liars, will keep the new agreement.
Witkoff, Trump’s emissary, in an interview with Taker Carlson of Fox, exposed the pro-Zionist imperialist nature of his mission to the Middle East on behalf of the sociopath. He continues to adhere to the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians from Gaza and the disarming of Hamas. He is also a supporter of Netanyahu, and despite all this, it is said that he is a mediator while working to subdue the Palestinians and the resistance movement.
He spoke about the basis of his mission: “I was in Gaza. Israel’s Southern Command showed me a film about what happened on October 7. Mass rapes, I saw a video of Hamas members beheading an Israeli soldier, sawing him off. Horrible things, beyond what I’ve ever seen. I had to see this movie. The film is reality.”
When asked by Carlson whether the U.S. understands Israel’s failures, Whitkoff responded: “I think we understand that mistakes were made. We are humans, not robots. People make mistakes. There were intelligence errors. But they’re good people who were involved. I’ve met some extraordinary people, really exceptional, and it’s a difficult situation.”
“We need to know what Hamas wants, and then we need to understand what can be given to them in order to allow them to leave. Because that’s what is needed here. We heard at the beginning of the conflict: ‘Hamas is an ideology and they are ready to die.'” But : “I said to the president: ‘I don’t think they’re as ideologically rigid as they say, I never believed in that. They put explosive belts on small children who don’t understand anything. After you understand that they want to live, you can talk to them more effectively.'”
Witkoff also referred to the performance of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: “I think it’s complicated. I think he has good motives, there are things that his government is trying to achieve.”
“For example, I don’t think we would have been effective in what we’re doing if Netanyahu hadn’t taken Nasrallah out of the picture, if he hadn’t lowered Hezbollah’s head or if he hadn’t lowered Hamas’s head. Because Hamas is not close to the terrorist organization that it was before. The Iranian crescent, which everyone thought would be effective, was extensively destroyed, so it did an excellent job.”
“Of course, the criticism is that he is more preoccupied with fighting than with the hostages,” the U.S. envoy added. “I understand how people get that feeling, but I don’t necessarily agree with that. I think he does want to bring hostages home, if he can, but I think he believes that the only way to do that is to put pressure on Hamas.”
Witkoff outlined the fax Americanafor the future Middle East and American goals in the region. “Hello. Stability. The Gulf coast could be an opportunity, if we solve the issue. The Israelis are technological geniuses, they have a huge technological base. Artificial intelligence, robotics. The United Arab Emirates is there, Saudi Arabia is there, Qatar is there, can you imagine what would happen if they cooperated? It could be a bigger market than Europe.”
“If Iran has a bomb, it will be North Korea’s production in the Gulf. We can’t accept that,” he clarified. “North Korea has an exaggerated influence as a very small nation. We can never allow anyone to possess nuclear weapons and have great influence. As soon as we get rid of this problem and get rid of terrorists and dangerous organizations like the Houthis and Hezbollah, it will normalize the entire region.”
The US envoy expressed optimism about the possibility of broad normalization in the region: “I think Lebanon can normalize relations with Israel. Normalization means a peace agreement between the two countries. It’s really possible. So is Syria.”
“I visit Israel a lot, and I think there is a feeling among some – ‘When will the violence end, when will it be enough?’ Their main promise is that Hamas cannot continue to exist. I think we’re talking about demilitarization now, that’s the big thing. I don’t think anyone has the feeling that Hamas can just be killed, it’s an idea, an ideological idea.”
“We will need a very good plan for Gaza,” Whitkoff concluded. “It starts with the fact that we need stability regarding Gaza. Stability for Gaza may mean that some will return and some will not, but I believe that we need to get to a place where people can live a better life there.” “You want better for your child, I want better for my child,” Whitkoff noted. “I don’t think the people in Gaza have been given this opportunity or provided with the ways to pursue it.”
During his visit to Israel, Witkoff visited the Hostages Square. “I went to the Abductees Square with security. My people were afraid I wouldn’t be able to get out. We passed by, and I said, let’s stop. There was no plan to go there. I spent an hour there, it was almost spiritual. There were abductees who were released and families of abductees. I have to say – this matter has polluted Israel, divided it. It tears apart the soul of the country. We have to bring them back.”
