Long live the Houthis

Yossi Schwartz ISL (RCIT section in Israel/Occupied Palestine), 24.12.024

On Saturday, early in the morning, Houthi “hypersonic missile” slams into Jaffa. Broken glasses injured 16 Israelis.

“Houthi spokesperson Yahya Qasim Sare’e said the Yemeni organization had conducted the attack. The Houthis claimed to have targeted a Zionist military target with a hypersonic ballistic missile. This was the second hypersonic ballistic missile that slammed into the Tel-Aviv area in the last few days that the Zionist defense system failed to stop. The missiles traveled 2000 KM.

In response to the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis started firing drones and missiles toward Israel and on ships sailing to Israel. They have since launched dozens of missile and drone attacks on commercial ships. Of these, 34 have resulted in reported damage to vessels. The Houthis are an armed political and religious group that is Yemen’s Shia Muslim minority, the Zaidis”

They declared themselves to be part of the resistance against Israel, the US, and the

wide imperialist West – along with armed groups such as Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement before the ceasefire with Israel. While Hezbollah made a very bad ceasefire agreement with Israel, the Houthis continue to fight the Zionist monster.

“Their military organization is Ansar Allah (Partisans of God). The group emerged in the 1990s and takes its name from the movement’s late founder, Hussein al-Houthi. The current leader is his brother, Abdul Malik al-Houthi.

In the early 2000s, the Houthis fought a series of rebellions against Yemen’s long-time authoritarian president, Ali Abdullah Saleh. They wanted greater autonomy for the group’s homeland in north Yemen. Saudi Arabia led a failing war against them. The U.S. and Britain are bombing them, and so does Israel” [1]

The RCIT, including the ISL, supported them in the war against the imperialists but

did not give them political support.

Down with the Zionist monster!

For Palestine red and free from the river to the sea!
