There is a legend that the mass media role is to defend democracy, namely every one, and not only the ruling class. Israel announced a delay of one day in the humanitarian pause. This delay is used by the Zionist war criminals to further kill Palestinian civilians. So far Israel killed more than 14,500 people, 70% women and children in Gaza alone and more than 200 in the West-Bank. Six people were killed today, including three children, in Israeli airstrikes at two homes in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip, according to the WAFA correspondent. It also arrested the director of al-Shifa Hospital.
According to WAFA on Thursday, November 23, 2023 – The Israeli occupation forces are continuing in their assault against Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, which started at midnight last night, resulting in the killing of a boy and the wounding of three others, in addition to raids of homes and ransacking them, according to local sources who understand that the intention of the Zionist apartheid state is a second Nakba.
Hezbollah that announced yesterday it will respect the pause in the war renewed its war on the North of Israel. Hezbollah said that it had launched 48 Katyusha rockets in an attempt to hit a base near Safed. Hezbollah additionally says that it had conducted 11 attacks, including several anti-tank missile attacks, against a number of IDF positions near the border on Thursday morning.
While Hezbollah could do more it tries not to engage with a full war with Israel known for its barbarism. Using Katyusha rockets rather than the heavy missiles it has in its arsenal indicates its readiness to support the pause. Israel replied with by striking Hezbollah rocket and anti-tank missile launchers in southern Lebanon proves that Israel is afraid of a full war with Hezbollah and its intention to respect the deal with Hamas.
In the war of genocide by the Zionist apartheid state the nature of U.S.A has been exposed once again. The legend is that Obama and his team in the White house were peace loving and caring people. After all, Obama received the Nobel prize for peace. However, not only Biden is lying for Israel and providing the murders with weapons to kill the Palestinians in Gaza and the West-Bank but a high-ranking adviser of Obama was exposed as an extreme racist.

This is true not only for the American imperialists but for the European imperialists. It is clear that the mass media in the European imperialist states is biased against the Palestinians while millions of people including in the Western imperialism are in support of the Palestinians. According to Al Jazeera 8 BBC journalists are complaining of bias of the BBC editorial in favor of Israel.
“The BBC has been accused by its journalists of failing to tell the story of the Israel-Palestine conflict accurately, investing greater effort in humanizing Israeli victims compared with Palestinians, and omitting key historical context in coverage.
In a 2,300-word letter written to Al Jazeera by eight UK-based journalists employed by the corporation, the BBC is also said to be guilty of a “double standard in how civilians are seen”, given that it is “unflinching” in its reporting of alleged Russian war crimes in Ukraine” [2]

A letter published in the Guardian by several prominent German philosophers influenced by the Frankfurt School of “critical theory” against founding member, Jürgen Habermas. They argue that “Never again” must also mean staying alert to the possibility that what is unfolding in Gaza could amount to genocide. Habermas argued that this phrase means protecting Israel’s right to exist whatever it does. That Israel’s military retaliation following the 7 October Hamas attacks was “justified in principle”. Likening the resulting bloodshed in Gaza to a genocide was beyond the boundaries of acceptable debate”, he said.
The letter echoing Habermas’s condemnation of the Hamas attack and hostage-taking also says: “The statement’s concern for human dignity is not adequately extended to Palestinian civilians in Gaza who are facing death and destruction,” it adds. “Nor is it applied or extended to Muslims in Germany experiencing rising Islamophobia. Solidarity means that the principle of human dignity must apply to all people. This requires us to recognize and address the suffering of all those affected by an armed conflict. […] We are concerned that there is no mention of upholding international law, which also prohibits war crimes and crimes against humanity such as collective punishment, persecution, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure including schools, hospitals and places of worship” [3]
Those who stand behind the letter cannot agree whether Israel is committing genocide. Though the letter is better than Habermas’s position it is far removed from the interest of the international working class to end the existence of the Zionist apartheid state that commits genocide. It reflects the crisis of western philosophy serving in one way or another the ruling class and the decay of capitalism.
When ancient Greece was in decline, the Greek philosopher Pyrrho (third century BCE) was the founder of Skeptical philosophy. Pyrrho, dissatisfied with all the attempts of his predecessors to solve the great problems they had set for themselves, declared the problems insoluble. His opponent Zeno was the founder of Stoic philosophy. The Stoics endeavored to establish the certitude of human knowledge, in order that they might establish the truth of moral principles. They attacked the doctrines of the Skeptics, and believed they triumphed by bringing forward their own doctrine of common sense. [4]
Israel war on Gaza clearly put the dividing line between the Western imperialist states and the Global South and between the ruling classes of the Western imperialists and the working class and the masses regarding the genocide of the Palestinians. This red line is behind the gross propaganda of the Western mass media based on the lies of the Zionist crude propaganda.
