In February of this year, in an article I wrote, I explained that the conditions were ripe for a new intifada that would not be carried out because of the large presence of the Zionist army and the cooperation of the Palestinian Authority forces with the Zionist army.
Today, in my opinion, the conditions allow for the outbreak of a new intifada for several reasons. First, with the support of the government of the arch-criminal Archi Netanyahu, the settlers in the West Bank intensified the terror against the Palestinians. Second, large military forces are ready for war with Iran and in Gaza, and are not available for the West Bank since Netanyahu flew to Washington to get permission from Trump to join the war against Iran, and third, Iran’s victory over American imperialism encourages the uprising of the oppressed.
On this subject, the TV panels discuss what they call the crisis in Judea and Samaria. Ynet newspaper writes:
“After two particularly tense days in Judea and Samaria – with three attacks, one of which killed Maj. Yuval Ezra and Maj. (res.) Benyahu Malat – the Palestinians reported last night (Friday) that the IDF continues to impose extensive restrictions on movement in the area. Among other things, IDF forces closed dozens of entrances, roads and crossings in various cities in northern Judea and Samaria, including the Nablus, Salfit, Qalqilya and Tubas areas.”[i]
Amos Harel writes in Haaretz: “While the defense establishment is on high alert for the possibility of an American (and possibly Israeli) attack on Iran, another arena that has been bubbling up for a long time has already ignited: the West Bank. Two Israelis and four Palestinians were killed this morning (Friday) in an incident southwest of Nablus, and now there is a clear danger of escalation on the ground and the formation of an ongoing cycle of mutual revenge attacks… The shooting incident broke out in the village of Tel, where a group of Israeli hikers entered, on a tour that did not receive prior approval from the military. It took place in the area where there is the most heightened tension, against the backdrop of the fire in the Havat Gilad outpost the previous weekend (which the IDF determined with certainty that there was no deliberate arson) and multiple attacks by Jews against Palestinians… The organizers of the trip are not naïve. This appears to be a deliberate provocation, part of a broader move designed to provoke the Palestinians to a response, which seems to have spiraled out of control. There are many on the Israeli side who want a serious escalation in the West Bank and strive for it, because of a combination of two interests: the hope that the growing violent friction will eventually lead to an all-out clash in which it will be possible to dismantle the Palestinian Authority and take control of large areas of the West Bank by force; and the creation of a security emergency ahead of the elections on October 27 of this year.”[ii]
The time is running out for the establishment of action committees in every Palestinian village, in every refugee camp and in every urban neighborhood, and from them to establish a democratically elected national leadership against the plan to genocide in the West Bank as well against the Zionist monster in general.
