The Zionist general Yitzhak Brick confirms our analysis of a new Middle East hostile to Israel. He writes: Turkey (Türkiye) is strengthening its ties with Muslim countries and expanding its influence in the region, while Israel’s standing is eroding and internal resilience is weakening.
For centuries, there have been bloody struggles between Turkey, Egypt, and the countries of Mesopotamia (Iraq and part of Iran) for control of the Levant (Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, and Sinai). This region, in which Israel is at the center, has been characterized by enormous strategic, economic, and geopolitical importance:
The Levant controlled the incense and land silk routes from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea and allowed Mesopotamia a sea outlet to Europe and North Africa through major ports such as Acre, Beirut and Tripoli.
But these days have changed from one end to the other, the likes of which have not been seen in centuries: the same historical rivals have reversed their direction by 180 degrees. Instead of fighting each other, they unite to bring down a common enemy, the State of Israel, which they perceive as a regional threat.
Turkey aspires to become a regional economic and military power. It supported the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad and the occupation of Syria, and turned it into a protectorate state, stationed an army near Israel’s border in the Golan Heights, and at the same time rebuilding the Syrian army as a spearhead in a future war against Israel.
Turkey signed a strategic alliance with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan (which possesses nuclear weapons) and has also joined Egypt and is strengthening the Egyptian army with missiles, UAVs, planes, and tanks.
Brick continues to offer advice on how to save Israel, the last thing we want, as the only solution is a democratic red Palestine from the river to the sea.
