The response of the Zionist apartheid state to the ICJ order to stop the war on Rafah was to bomb the tent of people who escaped from Rafah which murdered 45 people.
“The airstrike started a massive fire that quickly tore through thin tents and makeshift shelters. The health ministry in Gaza said 45 people were killed in the attack. By daylight Monday, the camp was filled with smoking tents, twisted metal and charred belongings. Women cried as men prayed over the bodies” [i]
“Some survivors said they had come to the camp because they followed a warning on Israeli leaflets, telling them to leave Rafah for the “humanitarian area.”
“Witnesses said people were preparing for evening prayer when the strike hit the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood, where thousands had tried to find shelter after Israeli forces launched a ground offensive in the east of Rafah more than two weeks ago.”[ii][iii]
The Zionist monster is sure that the US will use its veto power in the UNSC to stop any sanction. To wash its hands from this horrible crime Israel said it was a tragic mistake. Following this lie according to Palestinian sources, a fighter jet attacked a residential building in the Fallujah area in the Jabalia camp in the north of the Gaza Strip.
“Martin Griffiths has responded to Netanyahu’s claim that Israel’s deadly attack on displaced Palestinians in Rafah was the result of a “tragic mistake.
“Whether the attack was a war crime or a ‘tragic mistake’, for the people of Gaza, there is no debate. What happened last night was the latest – and possibly most cruel – abomination,” Griffiths said in a statement. “To call it ‘a mistake’ is a message that means nothing for those killed, those grieving, and those trying to save lives.”[iv] As could be expected the US is helping to spread the Zionist lie.
“Rafah following the airstrike targeting two Hamas senior members on Sunday most likely occurred as a result of shrapnel hitting and igniting a fuel tank in the vicinity of the attack, ABC News reported on Monday, citing a US official. According to the official, the fire most likely broke when shrapnel – or a similar object – hit a fuel tank, which in turn ignited and lit a nearby tent. At the moment, the US has no information to confirm or disprove the claim and is waiting for the results of the IDF’s investigation”.[v]
By the request of Algeria, the UNSC will meet today to discuss the new crime of Israel but the results are known – nada.
The Israeli state does not have the right to exist. It must be destroyed and replaced by a free red Palestinian state from the river to the sea under the rule of the workers and the poor Fellahin. A state that will welcome the Palestinian refugees and the minority Jews will have civil rights.
