The Zionists’ dream of restoring monarchy in Iran has fallen on their face

In my previous articles on Iran, I estimated that if the working class would not take the leadership and in the direction of a democratic revolution that would continue to a socialist revolution, the protest of the middle class would die as it happened time and again. I received confirmation of this yesterday from the Zionist expert military commentator, Yaari.

Commentator Ehud Yaari spoke tonight on a panel on Channel 12 and explained the situation in Iran at the moment. When Keren Marciano asked him if there were sufficient conditions to shake up the regime, he said: “The shock exists, but I want to say things that disappoint not only the viewers but also me myself – at this moment we don’t see a continuation of the expansion of the uprising. There is no increase in the volume of demonstrations – it continues, but it is not expanding, it is not taking on new and larger dimensions, as it was in 1978-1979 before Khomeini came to Tehran.”

He added: “According to the quorum that I trust more than others, until a few hours ago there were 60 sites of demonstrations, no more. We used to be at 300 or more. Of these, 36 are in Tehran, mainly in the eastern part of the city. Most of the demonstrations are of medium size, not large.” Afterwards, he also explained why the protests seemed to have reached their peak: “As soon as the regime declared that the protests were terrorism, and anyone who took to the streets was a terrorist, that is, they were shot, the public understood that.”

He continued: “Another point, unfortunately, I apologize – we don’t see clear gaps in the regime’s apparatuses, in the government, and not in its two armies – the regular army and the Revolutionary Guards, and we don’t see a lack of functioning by the Basij. You see signs of hesitation here and there – nothing more.”

He also spoke about Reza Pahlavi, the crown prince: “He is trying but failing to become a guide – the one who guides the uprising, as Khomeini did at the time, when he sat in Paris and issued daily orders – and the masses obeyed. Therefore, it must be said honestly, even if with grief, it will take more weeks before we see where it is going. This story is not short.”

At the same time, he emphasized: “I would also reduce the level of concern regarding the Iranian regime’s intention to open a front with Israel and the United States now – I don’t see the interest they have in this matter. We have to hope that it will continue and expand, it is difficult – the winter in Iran is very hard, very cold – I have been there several times during these periods. We need more time – it’s not tomorrow morning.”[i]

It is clear that the Sha’s supporters have remained a small minority and while they shoot and burn, they cannot overthrow the regime. No doubt Zionist and CIA agents act in Iran but they cannot organize a military coup unlike in 1953 when Prime Minister of Iran Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in a coup d’état orchestrated by the United States (CIA) after he nationalized Iranian oil.

The reactionaries are very disappointed as the Iranian masses remember the CIA coup and the Sha whose washroom was made of gold while the masses remained poor and oppressed.

Meanwhile the demos continue by ten thousand protestors, Iran continues to be cut off from the internet for a fifth-straight day  and there is a possibility that Trump will attack Iran. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi tells Al Jazeera: “If Washington wants to test the military option it has tested before, we are ready for it.”

Imperialist China says it opposes “any illicit unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction” after President Donald Trump says nations doing business with Iran will face a ‍25 percent tariff on US trade.

More than 100 security personnel have been killed in recent days, Iran’s state media report, while opposition activists say the death toll is higher and includes hundreds of protesters. Al Jazeera cannot independently verify these figures

In any case ,the USA will attack Iran, the interest of the international working class is the revolutionary defeat of Western imperialism, and the revolutionary defense of Iran. An important demand must be in this case, armed workers under democratically elected leadership.

Fight against the sanctions on Iran!

For a revolutionary constituted Assembly!

For the leadership of the working class of the protest in a revolutionary direction of workers backed by the poor peasant government!

Kick out the reactionary pro Shah!
