The British Guardian informs: “The former head of the Mossad, Yossi Cohen, contacted Pato Bensouda many times and tried to convince her to abandon the investigation she opened in 2021 . He allegedly told her: “You must help us, you do not want your safety and the safety of your family to be compromised”. Cohen did not respond; Prime Minister’s Office lies again: “The questions forwarded to us are baseless and intended to harm the State of Israel’
According to the investigation, Cohen contacted Fatou Bensouda, Karim Khan’s predecessor in the position, in the years leading up to her decision to open an investigation on suspicion of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Palestinians. The investigation began in 2021 and culminated in a request for an arrest warrant filed by Khan.
An Israeli official told The Guardian that Cohen acted with approval from above. Another Israeli source told the investigation that the Mossad’s goal was to harm the reputation of the plaintiff in Nesuda or to sway her to cooperate with Israel. A third source called Cohen “Netanyahu’s unofficial emissary.”[i]
After the prosecutor called for the arrest warrants for top Israeli officials, 12 United States Senators wrote to the ICC:
“The United States will not tolerate politicized attacks by the ICC on our allies. Target Israel and we will target you. If you move forward with the measures indicated in the report, we will move to end all American support for the ICC, sanction your employees and associates, and bar you and your families from the United States. You have been warned“[ii]
The real flag of Israel and the US is most commonly identified as the Jolly Roger today – the skull and crossbones symbol on a black flag. It was used during the seventeen and eighteen centuries by a number of pirate captains, including Black Sam Bellamy, Edward England, John Taylor and Morgan.
