Israel has not only occupied another part of the Golan Heights and not only bombed weapons depots, so that they do not fall into the hands of the Syrian army, but is also working to dismantle Syria into small, weak states that are dependent on Israel. This was possible because Syria has undergone only a political revolution and not a full democratic revolution that can only be realized through a workers’ revolution under revolutionary leadership.
Large demonstrations were held yesterday in the southern province of Sweida in which participants called for “full independence” and “self-determination.” The demonstrators waved the flags of the Druze community, along with signs calling for the removal of the Syrian security forces from the area, and some even waved Israeli flags and expressed their gratitude for the military and humanitarian aid. The participants also called for a “total disengagement” from Syria, rejected a federal plan, and applauded the Druze sheikh Hikmat al-Jarri. Some of the demonstrators carried signs that read: “Separation and not living in a terrorist state” and “Down with the terror regime,” as well as thanking Israel. At the same time, another demonstration was held in the city of Shahba, where the participants demanded the opening of a humanitarian corridor, the release of detainees, and the establishment of an international commission of inquiry. Spiritual sheikhs from the community also joined the calls for “self-determination and independence for Suwayda.” The Arab media reported that this was the first time that demonstrations of this magnitude had been held in Sweida for independence or separation from Syria.
To complete the revolution, the workers’ government was supported by Fellahin!
No to the breakup of Syria!
