Israel acts to break Syria

Israel has never given up its territorial aspirations for the great Land of Israel, which stretches from the Euphrates and the Tigris to the Nile. After conquering Sinai, for example, Ben-Gurion declared the establishment of the Third Kingdom of Israel, just as Mussolini declared the Third Rome and Hitler the Third Reich.

In this context, the State of Israel is working to disintegrate Syria into small ethnic states that will allow it to control them.

According to the daily “Israel Hayom,” Israel is arming the Druze militia in al-Suwaydaa in southern Syria.

Druze leaders from the a- Sweidaya district traveled to the Golan Heights last Thursday and met with Zionist army officers, after the arrival of a shipment of military aid from Israel to the armed factions, according to the newspaper, the visit took place as part of direct communication between the Israeli side and local leaders.

Recently, an accelerated arming process of the Druze National Guard militia has been underway in the al-Sweidaya province in southern Syria, according to the Arab website Al-Mudoun. He adds that there are signs of potential military moves ahead of the Israeli elections.

According to the newspaper Al modon, armed groups affiliated with Sheikh Hekmat al-Jari, the Druze leader in al-Suwayda, now possess American-made M16 and M4 rifles.

The report follows a demonstration of solidarity with Israel in Suwayda to mark the three-year anniversary of October 7. The demonstration raised the Israeli and Druze flags, along with pictures of Druze leader Sheik Hekmat al-Jari and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Recently, Netanyahu revealed that in the summer of 2025, he pressured Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara in a phone call to stop the attack by the armed factions affiliated with him in Suwayda.

The armaments are part of Israel’s ongoing aid to the Druze in A- Suwayda. It was also reported that tensions between Damascus and the Druze led by Al-Hajari continue, and there has been an escalation between militants in the area. At the same time, contacts between Israel and local Druze leaders continue.

This past week the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Israel’s continued military activity in the Quneitra province in southern Syria. According to the report, this activity includes artillery shelling, raids and other ground operations.

Al-Shara came to power after the revolution in Syria overthrew the dictator Bashar al-Assad. However, this was only one aspect of the democratic revolution. Another essential aspect is the removal of imperialism’s control, but al-Shara’, fearing the loss of control over the masses, associated with American and Zionist imperialism, which had conquered much of southern Lebanon. Trotsky’s theory and strategy of permanent revolution, that a democratic revolution must turn into a workers’ revolution as part of the world revolution and establish a workers’ state with the support of the peasants, is proven in Syria. To save Syria, the revolution must continue.
