The Maariv poll( https://www.maariv.co.il/news/israel/article-1365324) reveals that 62% of the Israeli public is proud to live in the country, that the State of Israel is a good place to live in and that the existence of the Zionist state is not in doubt. There are differences between coalition supporters, who are more optimistic about the Zionist monster, while opposition supporters are more pessimistic.
In the survey, there was a clear difference in the sense of pride between Jewish respondents – 84% of them are proud to be Israelis, and Arab respondents, of whom 44% are proud to be Israeli (a significant decrease compared to 52% last year). 40% of Israeli Arabs are not proud to be Israeli (a significant increase compared to 31% a year earlier).
The Maariv poll also shows that most Israelis (62%) think that the State of Israel is a good place to live, 35% think not, and another 3% did not answer. The segmentation also shows that Jewish respondents answered at a much higher rate (twice as high) than Arab respondents that it is good to live in Israel (66% vs. 33% of Arabs), while most Arab respondents (54% vs. 32% of Jews) said that Israel is not a good place to live.
Compared to previous years, there has been a slight decline this year in the percentage of those who think Israel is a good place to live – from an average of 66% in the previous three years to 62% in the current survey. Among Jewish respondents, this is a moderate decline, from 71% who said a year ago that Israel is a good place to live to 66% this time. In contrast, among Arab respondents, this is a sharp decline – from 46% last year to 33% this year.
27% think that the existence of the Zionist state is in real danger, and another 11% do not know (a figure that is particularly striking this year among Arab respondents – 30%). (Note: “do not know” in reality means “know but prefer not to answer”)
These results are not surprising as most Israeli Jews deny that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza or pogroms in the West Bank, believe that Israel won the war, and the world is dominated by anti-Semitic Muslim immigrants.
According to the JMCC poll, 77.9% of respondents Palestinians in the West Bank said residents of villages subject to settler violence do not receive sufficient support from the PA.
The poll also revealed that most Palestinians now favor peaceful negotiations over armed struggle as a means of resolving the Palestinian issue. Support for armed resistance dropped to 13.3% -15.7% in the West Bank and 9.7% in Gaza — compared with 37.1% in September 2023.
In contrast, the percentage of respondents who believed peaceful negotiations were the best approach rose to 55.8%, compared with 28% in September 2023. The poll also recorded a notable increase in support for a two-state solution, with 47.9% backing the option, up from 27.3% in September 2023.
Regarding the future of the Gaza Strip after the war, the largest segment of respondents, 42.9%, predicted that Gaza would come under international administration, while 17.3% expected the PA to play a role in managing post-war Gaza.
