At the beginning of the war of Israel on the Gazans, the Zionist Minister of War Galant said that the fighters of Hamas were human animals. The dehumanization of the Palestinians is serving the killing of civilians who are not human, according to the Zionist propaganda. Calling the Palestinians non-human has a long Zionist tradition
“When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle[i]
“We declare openly that the Arabs have no right to settle on even one centimeter of Eretz Israel…Force is all they do or ever will understand. We shall use the ultimate force until the Palestinians come crawling to us on all fours”[ii]
“The man was courageous, a true leader, and embodied the true qualities of a fighter,” according to former President Ezer Weizman, who as defense minister appointed Eitan to head the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). “He will always be remembered as a symbolic fighter that embodies the Jewish people’s struggle in the Land of Israel,” Weizman said”[iii].
Yet who are the true human animals we have learned in the war on Gaza? In the last stage of the war, the Zionist army put a siege on the hospital al-Shifa.
“The Israeli military has withdrawn from Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital after a two-week raid, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) says departments at al-Shifa Hospital were “set on fire”, and bodies of “executed” civilians are lying around the complex”[iv].
“Raed al-Nims, a representative for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, says many departments at al-Shifa Hospital were “set on fire”, and “many bodies” are lying around the hospital. The situation is dire, the medical staff, some of them were killed, others tortured, others detained, and above all, they have been besieged for two weeks without any medical supplies or even food or water,” al-Nims told Al Jazeera.He added that civil defense teams were not allowed to put out fires started at the hospital, which caused immense damage. According to eyewitness accounts and official reports, many of the civilians were executed. They were killed by the Israeli occupation forces, including medical staff, doctors, and nurses; the Israeli soldiers purposefully executed them, al-Nims said. We do not have final figures yet, but there is no doubt that it is confirmed that many were killed either directly by the Israeli occupation forces or [were] starved to death.”[v]
People are trying to salvage what they can, reports Al Jazeera’s Ismail al-Ghoul from al-Shifa, noting that the hospital was serving as a shelter for displaced people, as well as housing numerous staff and patients.
“There is no life here. The complex is in ruins and cannot be revived,” he reports.
“Buildings in all departments have been burned, and the structure of the complex has been damaged from the inside,” al-Ghoul continued. “From what we can see, it appears the occupation forces deliberately targeted the health sector and destroyed the largest medical complex in Gaza City.”[vi]
While scientifically speaking, Israel is not a fascist state, I can understand those who call Israel the new Nazis. It was Professor Leibovitch who first used the term Yudo-Nazis and no other than Yair Golan, who was Deputy Chief of Staff, made a speech on Holocaust Day in 2016 in which some say he drew a parallel between Europe in general and Germany in particular in the 1930s and current day Israel, by saying “If there is one thing that is scary in remembering the Holocaust, it is noticing horrific processes which developed in Europe – particularly in Germany – 70, 80, and 90 years ago, and finding remnants of that here (in Israel) among us in the year 2016.”[vii]
