The Zionist airstrike on an Iranian consulate building in Syria, which killed a top Iranian commander on April 1, represents a sharp escalation of the shadow war of Israel Against Iran.
“The killing of General Zahedi, who was said to be in charge of Iran’s military relationship with Syria and Lebanon, is widely considered the most important assassination of an Iranian leader in years.”[i]
For at least a decade, Israel has targeted both Iranian officials connected to the country’s military complex and the top commanders of various Middle Eastern militias associated with Iran.
Netanyahu wants a regional war to keep him out of jail and stop the demonstrations against him, and he wants to drag the U.S. to such a war. If the Zionist army cannot win against Hamas for six months, what chance does he have to win against Iran?
“For Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who presumably approved such a sensitive attack, the successful elimination of such key Iranian military figures is a political coup. It comes at a time when demonstrations calling for his resignation have increased in intensity, as the war against Hamas drags on and Israeli hostages remain in Gaza.”[ii]
Some worry that Israeli allies may bear the price. Ralph Goff, a former senior C.I.A. official who served in the Middle East called Israel’s strike “incredibly reckless,” adding that “the Israelis are writing checks that the U.S. CentCom forces will have to cash,” referring to the U.S. military’s Central Command.
“It will only result in escalation by Iran and its proxies, which is very dangerous” to U.S. forces in the region who could be targeted in retaliatory strikes by Tehran’s proxies, Mr. Goff said.
Israel could survive a nuclear war, wrote the Jerusalem Post on December 24, 2007. The casualty breakdown will be 16-20 million Iranians and up to 800,000 Israelis.
We have seen the shock and the history of the Israelis for the killing of 1030 civilians and soldiers on October 7th. Experts say that in such a war, 8-16 million Iranians will die and one million Israelis. This will be the end of Israel as anyone who could will escape to another state.
The Zionist insane monster must be stopped before it will expand the war to the entire region.
