You don’t have to be a prophet to know what will happen in Lebanon

The Murdering Minister Yisrael Katz defined the framework agreement signed between Israel, the United States and Lebanon as “a historic event that will shape a new reality in the north.”

“A historic event that could shape a new and secure reality in the north for the first time in decades”: Assassination Minister Yisrael Katz welcomed the agreement signed by Israel and Lebanon on Friday, centered on the principles of mutual recognition, a clear severance of the Lebanese arena from Iran, and an Israeli withdrawal that is not automatic – but is contingent on the demilitarization of Hezbollah. Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem issued a written statement strongly attacking the framework agreement.

“We told the Lebanese government that direct negotiations are free concessions for Israel. These meetings forced total surrender to the demands of Israeli-American aggression and dictates,” the Hezbollah secretary-general said.

It is clear that this agreement cannot help but lead to a civil war in Lebanon between the Lebanese army and Hezbollah, in which the interest of the international working class is in a military victory by Hezbollah without supporting it politically, and a war between Israel and the United States against Hezbollah, in which the interest of the working class is that Hezbollah must also be militarily supported. The Zionist monster will remain in Lebanon until it is expelled with its tail between its legs.

“As the prime minister and I pledged, Katz said: The State of Israel does not withdraw from Lebanon and maintains the security zone in southern Lebanon – including the Beaufort Ridge – while the area is free of residents and terrorist infrastructures below and above ground, and preserves the IDF’s freedom of action to thwart threats to our soldiers and to the communities and residents of the north,” he added.

According to the third clause of the treason agreement, Israel’s withdrawal from the security zone south and east of the Yellow Line will not be automatic, but will be conditional on the performance of the Lebanese army, the demilitarization of the relevant areas, and the approval of the American apparatus that will be established to oversee the process. The Zionist Army and the Lebanese Army have agreed on two initial pilot areas, and later additional areas will be determined by mutual agreement in any such area, only after the disarming of non-state armed groups (i.e., Hezbollah) and the dismantling of their infrastructures will the Lebanese army assume full security responsibility.
